Art in New York, the Smithsonian Museum and the White House in Washington, D.C.
Jeanne grew up in the breathtaking
Napa Valley in northern California and studied art at Sacramento State. She moved to Europe in the 1960’s where
she furthered her studies under a Bauhaus Master in Germany. During these years, she focused on still life, contemporary
landscapes and portraits in oil. Upon her return to the United States in the mid 1970’s, Jeanne began teaching
and studying American folk art while residing in New England and later, Pennsylvania.
Her painting entitled, “In
the Beginning Was the Word: Noah’s Ark” was created for the Houston Read Commission and first lady Barbara
Bush’s Literacy Campaign in 1983. Signed, limited edition lithograph prints are available upon request.
See the picture of this print under link below at "Limited Edition Prints". Jeanne's Easter egg creation,
“Noah’s Ark, Peaceable Kingdom”, was selected for a special exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum.
During
the 1990’s, Jeanne relocated to the southwestern United States where she studied watercolor and silk painting. She
became enamored with bright, rich, jewel-tone colors after many years of painting the neutral, darker colors of American folk
art.
Jeanne is currently residing on the East coast with her main studio located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She
travels frequently, fulfilling commissions, for clients around the world. She will travel anywhere for her customers!
In addition to fulfilling orders for house portraits, landmark paintings, cat and dog portraits, custom murals for private
